چکیده

With the rise of high resolution multiple input output (MIMO) systems, radar became an important sensor in development Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving applications. Autonomous will rely strongly on artificial intelligence. Since most modern classification algorithms are based neural networks, they require huge amounts data to perform well, especially unexpected traffic situations. Radar simulation can potentially produce a great variety training for machine learning algorithms, which makes it cornerstone ADAS. Furthermore, with simulators, different antenna configurations various edge cases be simulated. In this work, versatile ray tracing toolchain shoot bouncing rays (SBR) approach is presented. The program able simulate complex urban environments including realistic clutter, by utilizing simplistic reflection models. does not only images, but also generates camera-like images using same materials. work deals adaption SBR method sensors arbitrary number transmit (TX)- receive (RX) antennas, enables large MIMO arrays. A fast three-dimensional deterministic ray tracing coverage simulator for a 24 GHz anti-collision radar

A matrix-based approach for implementation of deterministic ray tracing is suggested and presented in this paper. The frequency-independent feature of the ray tracing in addition to the matrix-based implementation results in a reliable fast simulator for understanding the behavior of the electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of a collision avoidance radar. Results of this technique are in a go...

Compressive MIMO Radar with Random Sensor Arrays

We derive a theoretical framework for the recoverability of targets in the azimuth-range-Doppler domain using random sensor arrays and tools developed in the area of compressive sensing. In one manifestation of our theory we use Kerdock codes [2] as transmission waveforms and exploit some of their peculiar properties in our analysis. Not only our result is the first rigorous mathematical theory...

Monte-Carlo Ray-Tracing for Realistic Interactive Ultrasound Simulation

Ray-based simulations have been shown to generate impressively realistic ultrasound images in interactive frame rates. Recent efforts used GPU-based surface ray-tracing to simulate complex ultrasound interactions such as multiple reflections and refractions. These methods are restricted to perfectly specular reflections (i.e., following only a single reflective/refractive ray), whereas real tis...

Ray Tracing Based Channel Analysis Involving Compact MIMO Antenna Arrays With Decoupling Networks

The channel characteristics of the compact Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna arrays with decoupling networks are studied. Two 2×2 systems with monopole antennas are chosen as test cases. The analysis is performed by means of a ray tracing technique. Using such an asymptotic method allows to analyze large problems rather efficiently. This is especially critical for the outdoor propag...
